Mirpur-10 metro station reopens (cybivq Ly‡j †`qv)

Mirpur-10 metro station resumed (Avev‡iv Pvjy Kiv) operations this morning, almost (cÖvq)  three months after it was vandalized ( †f‡½ †`qvi ci)  and consequently (Gi d‡j)  shut down (eÜ nq)  in July.

Mohammad Abdur Rouf, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd, confirmed (wbwðZ K‡ib)  the information to The Daily Star.

Metro rail operations remained (_v‡K)  suspended (¯’wMZ)  for over a month (GK gv‡miI †ewk mgq)  afterwards (Gici).

The then Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader had said reopening (Ly‡j †`qv)  the metro stations would not be possible (m¤¢e n‡e bv)  even in one year (GK eQ‡iI).

Although metro rail operations resumed (Avev‡iv ïiæ nq)  on August 25, the two stations remained closed (eÜ wQ‡jv). The authority (KZ…©cÿ)  reopened (cybivq Ly‡j †`q)  Kazipara station on September 20.
